Unique

This past shoot with Allie was set in a studio. This was a new experience for me, and I really enjoyed it. I did two different eye looks. One eye had a geometric shape and the other was a soft smokey eye. By keeping the color palette the same bronze gold look on both eyes, it tried it all together. The hair was slicked back and kept quite basic, allowing the makeup and the model to shine. Allie is sooo unbelievably talented..she is such an inspiration to me!! So much fun!!

Creative Collaboration take 4

The most recent shoot that I was so very happy to be asked to work on was an amazing one. The photographer, Allie Beckwith, had a wonderful vision and the model and I were on task to bring that vision to life. For the hair, I split it into 2 sections. The front section I curled and teased to create height and messy volume. The back section I twisted into a sleek and simple bun. For makeup I kept it clean, soft and glowy. The model, Jenn, had the most amazing gap in her teeth which is all the rage now, (Check out Chanel and Calvin Kleins recent ads) so I wanted that and her crazy hair to be the focus. The first half of this shoot was filmed in my good friend, Sarahs, stunning family home. It was the perfect back drop for the more sophisticated and high fashioned shoot. Allie has once again captured beautifully stunning photographs. Over all, for a hair stylist who only dreams of doing high fashion makeup and a lovely girl who has never modeled before, I think these turned out absolutely beautiful.

Secret Garden

Once again, Allie Beckwith has proven that her creative vision, along with her natural talent, can produce absolutely stunning photographs. This particular shoot was fun and had a touch of whimsicality to it, which was very fitting given the setting was a secret garden. I felt that it was fitting to play that up with the hair and makeup, so when Allie said she wanted literally a head full of flowers, I thought, lets go for it! All three of the shoots Allie and I have done together have each been so different and unique but at the same time each one holds their own in terms of impact and talent. This is all such a wonderful experience for me, given that my absolute dream job would be a high fashion make-up artist. Allie is giving me the ability to get my toes wet, and satisfy my craving for being creative and literally creating. Please go and check out Allies blog for all of the photos from this shoot and from sooo many more. You cannot help but be inspired by this talented girl. Enjoy!!

Creative Collaboration #2

I was excited and honored when my friend Allie asked me to be a part of another fashion photoshoot she was creating. This time around she wanted to do something totally opposite from the previous shoot. I kept the hair slicked back and did an updo using precise straight lines, which is completely different from the beautifully wild and crazy hair of the last shoot. Allie had a vision of what she wanted for makeup, so to make that vision come to life, I began by adding an inky black eye, neutral lips and matte skin. The beautiful model, Tiffany Dignard, had angled features naturally, so I played that up by contouring her cheekbones even more. Over all, I am continiously AMAZED by the creativity and vision that Allie Beckwith possess'. I'm blessed that I found my passion and I am beyond thrilled that I get to have fun doing what I love with someone so talented. XO
